Short Story

Labor is the capital.

The Maharashtra bus service runs continuously from Kopargaon station to Shirdi Sai . To go to Baba's court, many servants, including children, are engaged in service there.
Devotees take rose flowers as gifts to Sai Baba.
When passenger stopped during the Corona period, every was facing a financial crisis. But after the lockdown relief, Dayashankar regained hope, and the child would run to the window of every bus, pfront-running, “Mother, take a flower; the stove will be lit in my house. Baba will be happy with your gift.”
Swallowing the spit in his dry throat, he would start speaking again. “My flowers are very cheap.”
“Mam Saheb, take it because the shops located ahead of Baba's court will make it very expensive. I will give it to you at a very low price. Take two for ₹ 10. In this amount, I will get two rotis.”
With tears in his eyes, the child was making this request by banging on every window.
The child was not begging. He was working hard. His pfront-running look attracted people's attention. And I looked at that child to pick up the flowers. Seeing the victorious smile on the boy's face, he felt that this flower too had withered. Who is struggling so much at this age to satisfy his hunger by running for his stomach?
Yes, it is true that labor is the supreme capital. And begging is a crutch that makes a person handicapped.
But on the strength of hard work, a person establishes his existence, and along with self-confidence, he also strengthens others through his struggles.
